Yawei Hui got his Astrophysics Ph.D. in 2008 at the Johns Hopkins University and MS degree in Computer Science at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2015. Working in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, he tries to bring the first-class computational power at ORNL to the increasing needs of solving big data problems at many research branches at ORNL. His research interests include HPC workflow, parallel machine learning algorithms, and scientific visualization.
