Biography
The author has worked in High Performance Computing (HPC) for over 30 years. He began his career with Control Data Corporation, which transitioned to Computing Devices International, which was then acquired by General Dynamics. Throughout his career, he has worked with the same HPC group in the design, development, integration, and deployment of mission specific HPC systems. His experience spans ASIC design, board design, infrastructure software and diagnostics development, systems integration, and application design and development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is currently the technical lead for the High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) team in the Intelligence, Threat & Analytic Solutions (ITAS) division of General Dynamics, Mission Systems.
