Biography
Michael currently leads the research efforts on energy efficiency within the “High-Performance Systems” division of LRZ. He focuses on energy-efficient HPC operations and scalable high-frequency monitoring solutions. Michael also leads the Energy Efficiency Working Group in the ETP4HPC and is a regular contributor to its Strategic Research Agenda. He received his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2005 and 2010, respectively. Before joining LRZ, Michael was a Post-Doc with CSIRO in Canberra, Australia and has worked as a consultant in the financial and automotive industry in Munich.
